outfit: monday, no fun day

vionic pewter flats

Snooze alert!  It’s Monday and this is what I wore to work.

I bought these Vince trousers to phase out my J. crew cafe capris, which look great but became frustrating to wear because the pockets were so tiny and caused things to come flying out of my pockets every time I sat down.  I’m never buying pants with tiny pockets ever again.  These are a size 6 which were a little too big on me at first but once I washed and put them in the dryer, they fit perfect.  The fabric is a like a buttery soft cotton chino.  Very cozy.

I never wear flats unless I’m going to work because honestly I kind of hate that entire class of shoes.  I don’t like these Vionic ones all that much aesthetically.  My Everlane day flats are way cuter, but they made my feet feel really hot on warm days, so I felt I needed another pair of work appropriate flats but with ventilation; its got laser cutouts throughout the leather upper.  They also have decent arch support for a ballet flat and might be the only ballet flat with built in arch supports actually.
