I’ve been heeding the advice of Dearly Bethany today and wore these ES pants cuffed above my ankles and my shirt tucked in to make myself look taller.  I love the way it evens out my weird proportions and might not ever wear a shirt again untucked.  I hope that won’t go out of fashion!

It’s been a long time since I’ve worn this Trademark top in faded ochre.  I just love all the little details of this shirt:  the ivory buttons, scalloped edges, hidden stitching along the hem, and that simple pleat on the back that gives it a nice structured look when tucked in.

Trademark designs great structured shirts.  I have two.  It’s hard to google search for the label because of its generic name, but you can occasionally find them at Need Supply on sale.  I just checked their website and it looks like they are no longer making clothes and only doing bags and shoes now, which are also really interesting designs but a little too avant garde for my taste.  I hope they start making clothes again.

In getting dressed this morning, I snagged my Cluse watch and broke the strap, which I’ve had now for about 3 years.  Luckily they sell replacements.  Do you think I should get the same leather strap in black or move on to all gold?  I’m on the fence.

I’ve been wearing these Everlane slides when I go out for short errands.  They do offer decent support and now that I’ve scratched the edges a few times, I’m less on edge about damaging them, and feel more at ease walking in them.

Look at this billowy back.  I kind of like it but before I went out, I did tuck the back hem in a little more to tame it down.  I’ve been wearing this vintage coach mini bag around alot but it’s actually too small for my giant iPhone.  I haven’t been wearing my APC half moon bag much at all lately and think I might sell it, but I feel conflicted because I love that bag so much in theory.  I have my eye on cross body bags with wide openings like the baggu crossbody in either stone (white) or black.

And lastly, I’ve been thinking about joining the bandwagon and taking daily outfit pictures.  I have a feeling I’ll be unimpressed with the vast majority of my outfits, but I bet I’ll learn something about my own personal style and become better at wardrobe planning.
