In a previous post, I talked about my disappointment with Everlane’s Ponte Pants. Here’s my proper review of them. Let’s start with the good. They do feel comfortable and strike a nice balance between leggings and trousers. With a tunic or dress, it’s modest enough for work. And it’s long and conforming enough to keep you warm in the winter. In theory, these were the perfect pants.
But when I got them, I was disappointed by the fabric. They felt synthetic and somewhat cheap. The long side zipper felt too fussy. And they shrunk after one round in the washer and dryer. I probably shouldn’t have put them in the dryer though–that’s my fault. Since they were supposed to be form fitting and only stretch slightly, any shrinkage makes them obsolete. They aren’t perfect, but would have been functional if I could still fit into them. They went from a size small to an extra small. My loss is someone else’s gain. They will be sold heavily discounted in the charitable shop .

Ooh this is good to know, bc mine are slightly bagged out in the butt. Maybe I’ll throw inside out in the dryer on low to get them to fit more snugly. I don’t think the fabric is quite right overall for this type of pant.

They will definitely shrink an inch or two.. I had the dryer on medium heat.
