wardrobe radar: a couple practical additions

beanie

There are two things close to entering my wardrobe.  I’m trying to fill some major gaps with some things to keep my head and body warm.

  1. Everlane chunky wool beanie.  I like extra space at the top of a beanie.  When your head is as large as mine (ie. circumference 23 inches and thick hair on top of that!), it is hard to find one that has enough room.  Everlane has made a generously large wool beanie that I actually received last year for Christmas but sadly lost.  I’m sticking to classic black since it goes with literally everything.
  2. Patagonia re-Tool snap-T fleece pullover sweater.  I’m heeding Patagonia’s plea to buy their products second hand.  There are a ton of high quality Patagonia clothes on eBay and Poshmark going for a lot less than retail. The deep pile of this sweater, double fleece collar, and kangaroo handwarmers are calling out to me.  I’m watching a few cream colored ones on eBay right now and hope to snag one at close to 80% off.  The vest version is way cuter IMO, but I don’t think it will be warm enough for our winters.  If I lived on the west coast, I might opt for that one instead.
