The classic wedge sandal has been on my radar lately. After purging most of my wardrobe, I realized that I don’t own a single pair of non-flat sandals. Summer is here and I’m in need of a comfortable sandal that is a little more dressed up than my go-to Birks. I’ve been eyeing these classic wedge sandals by A.P.C.

I’m also considering a very similar and even more classic rendition by Kork Ease that originated in the 1970s (apparently they were all the rage back then!). I’m leaning towards the Kork Ease because the cork sole would be easier to clean than the suede on the A.P.C. version. The shorter heel of the Kork Ease is tempting but the A.P.C. ones are definitely more refined. Reviews I’ve read on both say they are really comfortable and last a long time- promising for an essential wardrobe piece. The hard part is choosing.
